Objective of Film Club
The Film Club of Government Law College, Ernakulam serves as a creative platform for students to explore, appreciate, and critically engage with cinema as a powerful form of art, culture, and social commentary. The club celebrates films not just as entertainment but as a medium that inspires thought, dialogue, and expression.
The Film Club regularly hosts movie screenings, discussions, and interactive sessions on themes ranging from law and justice to culture, history, and human rights. It provides students with a space to analyze cinematic techniques, storytelling styles, and the legal and ethical issues portrayed in films.
By encouraging participation in short film making, scriptwriting workshops, and film appreciation events, the club fosters creativity and critical thinking among law students. It also collaborates with film societies, legal forums, and cultural bodies to broaden perspectives and enrich the learning experience.
The Film Club is where law meets lens, helping future legal minds view the world through diverse frames and narratives.
